Together with our members, we are putting our mission into practice: networking biotechnology – creating sustainability.

CLIB International Conference 2024 focus is “Biomanufacturing a greener future“ and we will address how biomanufacturing is going to change our industry and the way we produce. Which innovations can biomanufacturing make accessible today and in the future? How will it contribute to the biologisation of industries and thus generate new added value? Can it help to meet the challenges of climate change? Together with you, we want to discuss these and other questions and examine them from different perspectives.

We are happy to announce that the Southeast Asia - Europe Joint Funding Scheme (JFS) for Research and Innovation is going to continue this year and will launch a new STI Joint Call for Proposals in December 2023. The JFS-team has resumed its work and is preparing everything for the next JFS call. The launch of the 2023 Joint Call for Proposals under JFS is scheduled for 01 December 2023.

The thematic areas selected for the call will be:

1)     Circular Economy

2)     Clean, Accessible and Secure Energy Supply

Information on participating countries/funding organisations, how to apply and deadlines will be published on our website and announced on our social media channels: FaceBook & X (Twitter) on 01 December 2023. In addition, Matchmaking Events and Lab Exploration Tours will be organised to help you to find your perfect research partners from Southeast Asia and/or Europe. Details on all JFS events will be published on our website and social media channels as well. In order to make sure not to miss any news about JFS we strongly recommend you to subscribe to our Newsletter.

The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), Germany withdraws its participation as a funder in the field of “Sustainable Food Production” of the 7th Southeast Asia – Europe Joint Funding Scheme, which means that German partners of a project consortium submitting a project proposal for “Sustainable Food Production” would have to bring their own funding.

BMBF remains as a funding partner in the field of “Climate Change: Resilience and Adaptation” so that German partners in a JFS project consortium can still request funding for “Climate Change” projects under Call 7. For further information, please check the BMBF National Regulations (link) or contact the National Contact Point (contact details).
